Here you find a short overview for coming July. Many beautiful playlists are waiting for you. Enjoy!
Save the date!
The first Belgian Organ Competition will take place on 2 and 3 July 2021 in the Sint-Pieterskerk in Turnhout on the beautiful 1662 Le Royer/1997 Joris Potvlieghe organ.
Although it is a competition, the emphasis is on meeting and fraternising. During the meeting day and the competition, relationships are forged for the future. The best guarantee to give the organ a place in the 21st century.
This first edition is aimed at all non-professional organists who are still taking lessons and is divided into 4 categories: born in 2013-2009, 2008-2006, 2005 or earlier and finally conservatoire students.
The jury consists of Bart Jacobs, Cindy Castillo and Aart Bergwerff with myself as chairman.
In short, another event not to be missed. Save the date!
Since July 2017 more than 4,000,000 log ins
Every time someone listens to Organroxx Radio we talk about a log in. For the sake of clarity, if I am listening myself, my log ins are not included in the statistics.
Those 4 million log ins came from 207 countries with on 1 Netherlands, on 2 Germany, on 3 United States, on 4 Belgium and on 5 France as top 5.
On average, the Finns listen the longest, about 49 minutes.
Up to the 5 million!
Donation of more than 4,000 organ CDs
Jean Ferrard, honorary professor of organ at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and an intensive CD collector since the 1980s, has donated his complete collection of more than 4,000 organ CDs to Organroxx Radio. Thank you Jean!
Thanks to this generous donation, the Organroxx library has grown to no less than 10,000 albums, of which 3,701 have already been published online .
And now sort, make an inventory, rip the CDs and enter all files into the Organroxx database... let the summer come!
